Solution

Initiate the drop with a slight rotation of the forearm, this will start the motion for the weight to drop further and just guide it along naturally while remaining in an extended position (standing straight).

Description

Bumping or casting the weight away from the racking position to enter the backswing generally also results in the following of the kettlebell, i.e. hinging too early. When using light weight this doesn’t have to be a problem but it certainly will become a problem with heavier weight.
