About this workout

INFERNO is an upper body hypertrophy workout built entirely around dropsets — strict shoulder press, bent-over row, chest press, and curl, each performed both sides with 2–3 minutes of active recovery between tasks. Starting at the heaviest weight you can handle for 6–12 reps, you strip down through the weights to extend each set beyond failure and drive maximum muscle fatigue.

Strict shoulder press, bent-over row, and curl use single kettlebell (single arm). Chest press uses double kettlebell. Multiple weights per exercise required for dropsets.

Each set begins at maximum working weight for 6–12 reps, then weight is reduced to continue reps to failure again. Four exercises performed each side.

Scaling

Simple scaling

  • Reduce starting weight by one size if you cannot maintain clean form through the first set
  • Perform 3 dropset weight reductions instead of more if additional weights are unavailable
  • Extend active recovery to 3 minutes between tasks if needed

Detailed scaling

  • Beginner: Start with a weight you can press for 10–12 clean reps. Use 2 weight reductions per dropset. Take the full 3 minutes of active recovery.
  • Advanced: Start at the heaviest weight possible for 6 reps. Use 3–4 weight reductions per dropset. Keep active recovery to 2 minutes.
