Task breakdown
Programming
Pick a heavy weight of 1 or 2 kettlebells. You can switch the weight during the 3-minute set, but remember that the heaviest weight used for the squat is the weight that you need to hold overhead for the full 60 seconds to not incur the penalty.
You can reduce the working time from 3 minutes for each squat set to 2 or 1 minute and reduce the overhead hold from 1 minute to 45 or 30 seconds.
Scaling
You can squat with one kettlebell instead of two.
Scoring
You can switch the weight at any time during the squat set, just keep track of the reps with what weight, and you can put the weight down at any time.
Penalty for breaking the overhead static hold, calculate the total weight moved for each task and multiply it by 0.8.
Scoring equals each squat set minus the penalty added up.
