Exercise Combo

An exercise combo is a combination of several exercises strung together. A good example is a CrossFit burpees which consists of:

  • Plank (depending on how you perform the exercise)
  • Triceps push-up
  • Squat jump

Loaded Exercise Combo

A loaded exercise combo is a combination of exercises strung together that are performed with load. A great example of some combos loaded with a kettlebell are:

  • Clean and press
  • Clean and jerk
  • Snatch and windmill
  • Squat and curl

This kettlebell combo consists of the clean and press. The concentric phase of the press can be fast or slow depending on the goal of the programming. The same applies to the eccentric phase, it can be lowered into racking slow and controlled or it can be dropped/pulled into the racking position. The latter being a good option for cardio workouts.
