Flexing the neck (chin/looking down) on the drop from overhead with the snatch.
Solution
Stay in extension and keep looking ahead while the kettlebell drops.
Description
The flexing of the neck can be due to the head following where the eyesight goes on the drop from overhead into the backswing for the full snatch.
Flexing the neck on the drop makes the upper back weaker. Keep looking ahead and let the weight fall down until you need to hinge or squat for the backswing.
Here is a photo of what it looks like.
If it’s too hard or impossible to stay straight on the drop then it might also be that the weight used is too heavy, or a combination of too heavy and too many reps.
