Solution

Move the arm along with the movement of the working arm.

Description

When snatching, cleaning, or swinging with a single arm, the other should move along with the weight rather than loosely hanging or sticking out like a zombie’s arm. This applies mainly to powerful exercises like those in Hardstyle.

As the kettlebell swings back, the arm should move along, and at the end before the up phase (pull out) which is powerful, tense by contracting the lat of the non-working arm. This action engages the other side of the body as well and not only helps develop strength but also makes it easier to move the weight and avoid injury.

As the kettlebell swings up, either into racking for the clean, out for the swing, or up for the snatch, the non-working arm should move along. Keep tensing the lat on that side, when the elbow is near the ribs, keep it there and let the forearm move further. You can make a fist or slightly keep the hand open.
