Pull the weight as fast as possible with maximal force upon each rep.

Description

The ballistic exercises in Hardstyle like the swing, clean, and snatch are for power, meaning speed and strength. The exercises are usually programmed with low reps to be able to maintain maximum speed output, and the exercise needs to be performed as fast as possible.

If you clean for the sake of cleaning, i.e. to get the kettlebell in position for pressing, jerking, or another set of exercises, then you may be doing another variation of the clean that doesn’t require maximum speed behind it on each rep.

You can see when not enough effort has been put into the rep when it moves only as fast as it needs to come up and/or it’s clear that effort is lacking.
