COACHING / FEEDBACK REQUEST for all 4 exercises:
-
Kettlebell hip hinge swing
Goblet squat
Kettlebell row
Overhead press
SELF ASSESSMENT:
Swing – I’m not sure if I’m hinging or squatting. On the way down, I might not be waiting long enough. Head might be out of alignment. I have a weak lower back and might be squatting to protect it. As far as strength goes, I’m pretty sure I could do more weight with this one as I don’t find it very difficult to move the weight.
Goblet Squat – butt dipping at the bottom…I remember this was an issue in CrossFit. Maybe I shouldn’t be going as low until flexibility improves??
Row – back not flat enough?….am I bringing it back to right location or too far forward?
Should Press – Not strong enough for KB so using 10lb weight. Overhead has been weak for too long. From the side, I see that I am not flexible enough to get arm by ears. Without seeing this in the video I would swear that I am in correct position.

- Unresolved No scapula activation Kettlebell Double-Arm Hip Hinge Swing (Severe (3/4))
- Unresolved Not fully extending/standing straight Kettlebell Double-Arm Hip Hinge Swing (Moderate (2/4))
- Unresolved Hinging too early (following the kettlebell) Kettlebell Double-Arm Hip Hinge Swing (Moderate (2/4))
- Unresolved Chin to chest/neck flexion Kettlebell Double-Arm Hip Hinge Swing (Severe (3/4))
Your Goblet squats are pretty good, you would benefit overall from not training in shoes especially running shoes, or flat-soled shoes, i.e. zero drop.
The overhead press is also not too bad, you can definitely work on flexibility, just slow down and do less reps but more focus on getting it overhead and locking out the elbow.
If you can, please create request for each exercise, it allows us to keep better track.
Also, note that 5 unresolved issues are the max, you can work on fixing the open ones and then you can submit again. Let me know if that doesn’t make sense or if you’re not sure how to do that.
